Presents the innovative design concept, design methods and several new synthesis techniques of Tenio office building, which is awarded a 3-star green building design logo in 2013. Also analyses the control strategies, operation effects, actual energy consumption, indoor environment quality and customer satisfaction. By comprehensive analysis, besides innovative design, the low energy consumption of the office building also results from effective control strategies including the active utilization of natural ventilation and combination of radiant floor cooling with ceiling fans in summer, which greatly reduces the time for cooling, and the utilization of water storage and floor preheating in winter, so as to realize the low energy consumption of heating in winter and cooling in summer. Besides, the designers of the project are also the users at the same time, which makes it possible to grasp the demand, improve environmental quality and reduce energy consumption.
